Douglas Blecki is a Partner and the Director of East Coast Operations at Silverman Theologou.
Mr. Blecki oversees firm-wide collection matters for our credit union clients. Specifically, he works with our credit union clients on the negotiation, litigation ,and resolution of commercial and consumer debt disputes and related issues. Mr. Blecki, who has extensive experience navigating creditors through bankruptcy matters, also assists clients with an array of transactional matters, including contract drafting and review and business formation and maintenance.
Prior to joining Silverman Theologou LLP, Mr. Blecki worked as an associate at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig PLLC. His practice included transactional, intellectual property (copyright and trademark), and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Blecki assisted many small and medium-sized businesses with corporate formations, dissolutions, asset transfers, drafting agreements, and responding to general legal questions.
Mr. Blecki hails from South Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor of science in business management. He holds a juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Mr. Blecki served as a clerk for the Honorable Crystal Dixon Mittelstaedt in Prince George’s County, MD, and at the United States Department of Justice. Mr. Blecki is admitted to practice before the courts in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.
