Mr. Silverman, a founder and managing partner of Silverman Theologou LLP, specializes in business law, creditor’s rights, consumer and commercial collections and corporate and commercial litigation across Maryland, the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania. He represents many clients, including individuals, start-ups, closely held businesses, and public companies. His clientele spans various industries, such as federal credit unions, construction material suppliers, contractors, retailers, manufacturers, solid waste disposal, and information technology companies.

With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Silverman has extensively dealt with corporate and business matters, offering advice on contract preparation and negotiation, formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, and the organization, operation, acquisition, and sale of business interests. Additionally, he has expertise in the financial reorganization of businesses and has engaged in various commercial litigation matters related to commercial collections.

Mr. Silverman’s expertise extends to preparing cases for court or arbitration in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Pennsylvania, encompassing filing lawsuits, mechanics liens and pre-judgment and post-judgment attachments.

Serving as general counsel and advisor to numerous businesses, Mr. Silverman has also been a board member of the National Capital Area Arthritis Foundation, Intercom Communications Corporation, and Crius, Inc., and contributed as an Ambassador of the Greater Washington Board of Trade. He regularly lectures on business and commercial law, construction law, commercial and consumer collections, and bankruptcy.

Before establishing Silverman Theologou LLP, Mr. Silverman was a managing partner at Silverman & Associates, Chartered, and an associate at Ganz, Hollinger & Towe, P.C., in New York. He is affiliated with the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Mr. Silverman holds degrees from the State University of New York at Albany and the Antioch School of Law.
