Mr. Fontaine earned his bachelor of science in Finance from the University of Maryland at College Park, Maryland. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Pepperdine University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fontaine had 20 years of experience in consumer finance, sales and mortgage lending as well as debtor’s counsel in bankruptcy. Mr. Fontaine is admitted to practice in all state Bankruptcy and federal district courts in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is specially admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He initially joined the firm in 2001. Mr. Fontaine subsequently moved to California. Upon returning to the DC area he rejoined the firm in 2009. In 2019 Mr. Fontaine moved to Kentucky, but continues to maintain his relationship with the firm as Of Counsel to Silverman Theologou LLP. His area of specialization is in Credit Union litigation and creditor’s rights.
